China Wholesale Veteran Chinavasion Offers Resellers Advice...

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( Blogr.com ) August, 27, 2009:

China Wholesale ( http://www.chinavasion.com ) ground-breaker Chinavasion has released a five-point guide to avoiding being taken for a ride by suppliers listing on Alibaba.com's new ecommerce portal AliExpress.

Last week Alibaba.com did a soft launch of its new AliExpress service.

According to Chinavasion's PR Manager, Rose Li,  AliExpress is aimed at smaller to medium sized sellers and adds a limited degree of security for people who source from Alibaba.

"The main Alibaba.com is essentially an advertising website: no deals are transacted. AliExpress is different. It's ecommerce with international shipping, and that's 100% new business territory for the Alibaba group."

The AliExpress site explains that Alibaba will guarantee order fulfillment under an escrow arrangement. This will be the first international test of Alibaba's proprietary AliPay online payments system, already widely recognized within Mainland China as a payment method for the Alibaba group's eBay-style auction website Taobao, and a would-be competitor to eBay's Paypal system.

Chinavasion's Rose Li warned while the Alipay Escrow system might guarantee that resellers get something delivered they will still need to stay on their toes.

"Will buyers get what they want from AliExpress? Each supplier you find in AliExpress will have their own concepts of acceptable quality and speed. Since the goods are neither sold nor shipped by Alibaba themselves, the burden will still fall to the buyer to investigate and test each and every different supplier in the system before trusting them with orders."

In an effort to prevent resellers from being fleeced by sellers on AliExpress Chinavasion has put together the top five things to check for to prevent being taken for a ride by AliExpress suppliers, which can be read at tinyurl.com/AliExpress-Review for free.

As the first company to offer an online wholesale and dropshipping service online Rose Li said Chinavasion wanted to remind resellers what to look for when sourcing from China.

"We would like to offer our site Chinavasion.com as a price comparison for people shopping online through AliExpress. We are confident we offer a more user-friendly experience without the need to worry about quality, speed, or trust of unknown Chinese suppliers."

China Wholesale Seller Announces Record 81% Of Orders Sent O...

Shenzhen, Guangdong (Blogr) July, 29, 2009: China Wholesale ( http://www.chinavasion.com ) company Chinavasion has taken the lead as China's fastest dropshipper processing more than 80% of its orders within one working day.

Chinavasion Shipping Times For June
Dropshipping is a supply chain management system where the vendor doesn't hold stock, but passes customer details onto their dropshipping supplier instead, who ships it to the vendor's customer.

For dropshipping to be a viable supply chain management process the dropship supplier needs to process and ship high quality products quickly and reliably.

In fact, according to Rose Li, PR manager for wholesale electronics company Chinavasion, dropship vendors and resellers whose suppliers take longer than two weeks to ship often are often punished by both their customers and eBay.

"Resellers who's shipping time is between two and three weeks will end up receiving terrible customer reviews and no eBay listing discounts," according to Rose Li.

Unfortunately long shipping and turnaround times are the sad realities for many wholesale dropship companies in China.

For some wholesale distributor companies this is because they adopt a Just In Time shipping policy where items aren't collected from their supplier until their customer places an order.

A large number of smaller China trade companies have developed bad reputations for long, drawn out, shipping times for this reason.

According to Chinavasion's Rose Li Chinavasion has avoided falling in this trap by keeping stock on hand to fill orders quickly for customers.

In June, the wholesale electronics supplier, Chinavasion, processed more than 81% of its customers order within one business day.

Chinavasion achieves same-day ship-outs on an even higher proportion of dropship orders.

Up to 96% of single piece orders from regular dropship vendors are sent out within one day.

According to Chinavasion's Rose Li this presents a fantastic opportunity for dropshippers and resellers selling on eBay.

Especially as it usually only takes two days on average for an international courier company to get items from China to most main cities.

"A reseller using Chinavasion could almost guarantee that their customer will have the item in their hands within four to five working days," according to Rose Li. "That guarantees them building a great deal of customer satisfaction and return business."

According to Chinavasion's Rose Li this, combined with Chinavasion's industry-leading QC process, its high level of support and its 12 month warranty on all products made it the natural choice for resellers.

"Dropshipping is about maintaining a great service on behalf of our dropship vendors, many of whom are big eBay powersellers," according to Rose Li. "At Chinavasion we don't only work hard to help our customers: we value our customers' customers too."

New LED Watch Release Puts A Wholesale Price Tag On Tokyo Ge...

Shenzhen, Guangdong (  blogr.com  ) July, 15, 2009  -- Established manufacturers of LED watches are facing a new challenge from China wholesale LED watch manufacturers.

And eBay resellers and online ecommerce store owners in an excellent position to get big profits from the challenge.

The mens' and ladies' LED watch [ http://www.chinavasion.com/index.php/cName/electronic-gadgets/" ] or binary wristwatch has long been the symbol of the ubercool 'leet' (elite) . Not only do they require a level of familiarity to read them but they also come with a hefty price tag.

According to Rose Li, PR manager for wholesale dropship supplier, Chinavasion, a Tokyo Flash or 'The One' binary watch could go for as much as three hundred to five hundred US dollars.

"For such a simple electronic device the LED watch has become the definition of exclusivity and cutting-edge fashion," says Rose Li.

Now there's a new player in town and wholesale prices are tumbling.

According to Chinavasion's Rose Li, China wholesale manufacturers are making LED watches for a fraction of the price of better-known Japanese and Korean manufacturers.

"The average LED wristwatch made by a China electronics manufacturer goes for between 20 and 100 USD, less than half the price of the Tokyo Flash Watch," according to Rose Li.

With dropship suppliers profits could even potentially be higher due to the lack of shipping or double handling fees.

Rose Li says this puts LED watch shop owners and resellers in a fantastic position.

"Resellers now can find cheap LED watches from China, put on a gigantic mark up then sell them on eBay and get huge returns," according to Rose Li.

However, as binary watches are perceived high-end items it is vital that eBay resellers make sure they get a wholesale supplier that is reputable and has a QC process beyond question.

"LED watches are a high-end item so a faulty wristwatch won't only damage your eBay seller reputation, it will completely destroy it," says Rose Li.

"Chinavasion has a flawless double QC process and offers both a delivery guarantee and a one year manufacturers' warranty," according to Rose Li.

"Resellers can put their customers in Chinavasion's hands with confidence."

Wholesaler Chinavasion Responds To Closure Of Global Sources...

Shenzhen, Guangdong ( Bloge.com ) December, 25, 2008 The global economic downturn's latest victim was China ecommerce site "Global Sources Direct", which closed for business on December 1.

Sources close to the firm reacted with surprise at the abrupt closure, and reflected on the challenges the Global Sources Direct business model faced.

Global Sources Direct was a venture of NASDAQ-listed Global Sources, in operation since June 2005. The company was a joint venture between the business to business giant and online auction site eBay.

Offering no detailed public explanation for the closure, General Manager Jennifer Leung made the announcement with a simple website message on December 9, 2008.

Representatives of wholesale distributor Chinavasion has since reacted, giving their analysis of the critical difficulties Global Sources Direct faced.

The first issue Chinavasion representatives identified was the difficulty of managing 'virtual inventory'.

Major ecommerce sellers, like Amazon.com have pioneered the concept of "Virtual Inventory" which has the seller relying on suppliers for stock.

In such a system, the seller does not actually carry any volume of stock themselves. They instead rely on the goodwill between themselves and their suppliers.

According to Chinavasion's Rose Li, this is an impracticable approach in a developing economy like Mainland China.

"Virtual inventory means you rely totally on your suppliers. As the seller, you cannot afford inconsistency in product quality or supply," says Rose Li. "But most manufacturers in China cannot yet offer quality control or stock efficiency that is acceptable for international buyers."

In response to such challenges Chinese Wholesaler Chinavasion has reported ongoing investment in its own in-house quality control process, checking all items before they go onto warehouse shelves.

Secondly, at Chinavasion, products are only advertised for sale if they are actually ready to be shipped to customers.

"Virtual inventory can never be a substitute for real inventory," summarized Rose Li.

Chinavasion's Rose Li predicted that Global Sources would now focus on its core activities of business-to-business media and advertising.

Wholesale Dropship Information, The No B.S Guide To Dropship...

When it comes to information on the internet about ecommerce solutions and eBay tips and tricks there's no shortage of it out there. Unfortunately, the level of B.S is usually doled out in equal measures. We thought we'd do our best to cut through some of it by taking a look at that often described and rarely understood term -- dropshipping.

Here it is a look at the good the bad and the ugly of dropshipping and using wholesale dropship suppliers to get goods to your customers.

Most of the general public, hell most of the people who spend a large amount of their time on the internet aren't too sure what dropshipping is.

This sad state of affairs is made worse when you consider that even the people who should be in the know, the e-commerce and eBay experts aren't too sure what to make of this new logistics system.

The second part of the two-part no B.S guide to dropshipping

As a result it seems that we're either getting snake-oil salespeople trying to palm it off as the best system since sliced bread. Or the people who believed the snake-oil salesmen and got burnt saying it is a snake pit filled with bitter tears and angry people.

We thought we'd take an objective look at it.(as objective as a wholesale dropship supplier can be anyway)

So there you have it, we've thrown our collective hats into the 'what is dropshipping?' ring.

April Shenanigans

The Easter Bunny certainly has had a lot of surprises for the World Wide Web so far this month. The usual slew of April fools jokes were played, an eBay bomb was dropped on eBook sellers and several new web 2.0 services took a larger grip on the netizen population's collective imagination

April First has always been a time for practical jokes and this has only flourished on the internet. This year was no exception with Google, Virgin Blue and Thinkgeek.com getting in on the high jinks. Chinavasion also told a little 'untooth' in the spirit of the day but more about that below.

Powersellers unite front page

Powersellers Unite Forum Members have been less than happy with eBay this month.

EBook sellers and general eBay traders got hit with what they wished were April Fools Jokes. Ebay announced on April 2nd that it would no longer allow auction type sales for digital products, which would only be able to sold in classified ads with no special category mentioning. This enfuriated eBook sellers especially as many had built up successful businesses using their seller reputations on eBay as credentials.

EBay didn't stop there however announcing soon after that sellers would no longer be able to comment on buyers. Forum members on PowersellersUnite, an Ebay-focused forum set up in protest to an similar move by eBay a few years ago.

Internet news hasn't been filled with stories of shenanigans though.

Web 2.0 services Boxedup and Twitter increased their hold on netizen's imagination, offering the ability to operate within Facebook.
